Emotions ran high today within the Miami Hurricanes community, particularly on Twitter Spaces, as news broke about the departures of defensive linemen Jayden Wayne & Jared Harrison-Hunte.
Leading the discussion was none other than Miami Hurricanes Insider & Superfan The đ Coach GĂ©meaux aka @BigCapRadio, whose rants on Twitter Spaces have gained legendary status, with recent appearances including a feature on former Ohio State University coach Zach Smithâs Menace2Sports podcast.
@BigCapRadio, best known for his vocal presence in college football circles, notably engaging with fan bases on Twitter such as Ohio State, Florida, and Florida State, for his trolls on the importance of high school recruiting and the media star ranking system and Marioâs strategy in this realm.
According to him, successful programs that will experience sustained success over time are not those that prioritize a portal player acquisition strategy.
The media, namely Barry Jackson of the Miami Herald, is reporting on our recent departures, citing that UM has now lost 7 ESPN top 150 players from Marioâs first 2 recruiting classes.
This media reporting doesnât sit well with GĂ©meaux and his narrative. Heâs now in crisis mode, trying to deflect the perceived negative press.
I have no doubt my guy GĂ©meaux will come up with some revised messaging in no time. After all, he is a practicing attorney who is NEVER wrong ;)
